There’s a certain demon who’s in the market for a ghost, and knows just who to call: Slick, a trash-talking Brit. But when the demon sends in a courier to collect the package, a double-cross leads to another double-cross which leads to another, and Slick’s only responsible for one of them.
“Hostile Takeover: A Dark Comedy” A novella published on Scribd, free to read. Teaser:
He calls himself Black-Dark, and he is very, very ugly.
He’s been ousted by the Board of Directors of Hell, Inc., but he hasn’t given up yet. He’s got a plan, and if the powerplay works out right, he could be the next CEO.
One important facet of his plan: To convince Nicola, a call girl, to marry him, so he can prove to the Board that his often violent methods have toned down. But Nicola proves difficult to convince, primarily because every time she looks at him she faints.
Join Nicola on her uproarious adventure from call girl to queen of an underworld empire as she is brusquely courted by the surprisingly-tender evil overlord, who has a penchant for baking muffins in the midst of battle.
