Is this your first time throu the Aubrey-Maturin canon? I absolutely love it. I wouldn’t have read Pride and Prejudice had I not first read POB.

Also, if you like the Napoleonic War as a setting, try the Temeraire books by Naomi Novik

Yes, this is my first trip through and it’s fantastic; I probably will read P&P as soon as I get through the O’Brien novels. As for Temeraire, I picked it up and tried it but the writing style disagreed with me and I had to give it up. I did see it covered in my wife’s Entertainment Weekly, though, so I know it’s gotten some good press and has a solid fan base, it just didn’t suit me, even though I do love me some dragons. I thought it started out great, on the ship, but then once they got to training it seemed all predictable and … I’m not sure how to put it, maybe ‘formatted’ is right. Anyway, my own dragon novel is completed, maybe it’ll get some of the same press Temeraire got. One can always hope :-)
