Various and Sundry Joe’s Diner

Anonymous,” an Internet group, have declared war on Scientology, crippling a lot of Scientology websites and promising to stage a protest on February 10. It might not be as interesting as it is if the YouTube statements they’ve released weren’t so creepy.

How much better would it have been if Kurt Vonnegut had started a religion instead of L. Ron Hubbard? At least Vonnegut had a sense of humor.

One Response to “Anonymous vs. Scientology”

  1. Rigel Kent Says:

I’m not a fan of Scientology (not particularly against them either, just don’t care about them one way or another really), but I have nothing but contempt for those who decide it’s their duty to protect people from their own choices.

I don’t know (or care) if Scientology is conning its members the way these folks allege, but either way it’s for the members themselves to decide if they wanna be a part of it. If these guys have grievances with Scientology they should list what they are, produce evidence to support their complaints, and then let people decide for themselves.

To try to force Scientology to close is to partake in activities worse than what they accuse Scientology of.
