Lucas, my 4-year-old son, asked if he could tell a story before he went to bed. My wife pointed out, after he finished, that she thought it was important to note that his story had a beginning, a plot, and an end. Here is the story, in its entirety (as closely as we could remember it):
Once upon a time there were three bears. They went out to the forest and then they had to go home to eat lunch. They had to go eat rice and chicken. Then they ate bees and bumblebees. There were other animals who were animal lickers because they licked the mud because they were animals. Kung Fu Panda got the dragon scroll and then he went “ROOOAAAAAAR!” And the master said okay. The end.
Bet you’ll never guess what we had for dinner. Right, bees and bumblebees.
